Security & Privacy
Built privacy‑first, from the ground up.
Your guide contains the details your loved ones would need at one of the hardest moments of their lives. We treat that with the seriousness it deserves. Avora is encrypted, private by default, and engineered so that only the people you choose can ever see what’s inside.
Encrypted & secure
Your guide is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard AES-256 and TLS 1.3.
You’re in control
You decide what goes in, what stays out, and who can ever request access. Nobody at Avora can read your guide.
Only shared when you choose
Your nominated trusted contact can request access only when the time comes — never before.
How encryption works at Avora
Every guide is encrypted with AES‑256 before it ever touches our database. Connections between your device and Avora are protected by TLS 1.3. Encryption keys are managed in a way that means Avora staff cannot read the contents of your guide — even if they wanted to.
The trusted contact system
You nominate one trusted person — a partner, sibling, adult child, close friend. They never automatically receive your guide. When the time comes, they request access. We verify the request, with safeguards designed to prevent abuse, and then release your guide in a clear, readable format. You decide, in advance, exactly what they will see.
What we store, and where
We store your account details, your encrypted guide, and the audit trail of access requests. Data is hosted on UK and EU infrastructure. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not train AI models on it.
UK GDPR compliance
Avora is built to comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to access your data, correct it, export it, and have it permanently deleted at any time. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Only shared when you choose
This is the principle the whole product is built around. Nothing in your guide is shared automatically, accidentally, or quietly. It is shared because you set it up to be shared, with the person you chose, at the moment you intended.
